Pakistan finalizes venues for South Africa series

Published on: September 6, 2025 2:34 PM

Pakistan has finalized the venues for the upcoming cricket series against South Africa. According to sources, the matches will be played in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Faisalabad. The official schedule of the series is expected to be announced soon.

Officials said that South Africa’s reconnaissance team already inspected the three venues and gave approval. This inspection cleared the way for final confirmation of the match locations. The decision reflects Pakistan’s readiness to host international cricket at multiple venues.

The white-ball matches will be played in Faisalabad. This is significant because the city will host international cricket for the first time since 2008. Cricket fans in Faisalabad are eagerly awaiting the return of top-level matches.

Meanwhile, South Africa’s Test squad will arrive in Lahore in the first week of October. The Test matches are scheduled in Lahore and Rawalpindi. The first Test will begin in Lahore on October 12, making it a highly anticipated event.

Sources confirmed that the official series schedule will be released soon. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is making final arrangements. Cricket lovers are excited as this series marks another important step in Pakistan’s efforts to revive regular international cricket at home.
