Pakistan’s Hockey comeback: FIH Pro League fixtures revealed

Published on: September 15, 2025 5:22 PM

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has finalized the schedule for the upcoming Pro Hockey League. According to the official release, Pakistan will take part in multiple rounds against top international teams across four countries.

First, the national team will compete in Argentina from December 9 to 14, 2025, facing hosts Argentina and the Netherlands. The tour will mark Pakistan’s return to competitive action against two of the world’s top-ranked sides.

Next, the team heads to Australia from February 10 to 15, 2026, where they will go up against Germany and the Australian national team. Both sides are considered tournament favorites, making it a crucial test for the Pakistani squad.

In the third phase, Pakistan will play in Belgium from June 13 to 21, 2026, facing Spain and hosts Belgium. These matches are expected to play a key role in Pakistan’s standings in the league and provide vital exposure to younger players.

Finally, Pakistan will travel to England from June 23 to 28, 2026, to face traditional rivals India and hosts England. The India-Pakistan clash is expected to be a major highlight of the league, drawing significant attention from fans globally.

Earlier, the federal government approved PKR 250 million for the team’s participation in the FIH Pro League. The funds come from a special allocation of PKR 400 million for national sports federations, as confirmed by the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB). The financial support will cover travel, logistics, and other expenses associated with the league.
