Muneeba Ali Ready to Shine in World Cup

Published on: September 25, 2025 9:20 AM

Muneeba Ali enters the World Cup with strong form and high confidence. The opener is Pakistan’s first woman to score a T20I hundred. Muneeba Ali also remains one of only two Pakistani women with an ODI century. Fans hope her experience can lift Pakistan’s batting this time.

In 2022, Muneeba played just two matches in New Zealand. However, she was part of Pakistan’s win over West Indies. That victory broke the team’s long World Cup losing streak. She says the experience motivated her to perform even better in future tournaments.

Recently, Muneeba Ali proved her value against South Africa. She scored 76 in the first ODI and 44 in the last. These knocks boosted Pakistan’s chances and showed her consistency. Along with Sidra Amin, she gives Pakistan a reliable top order.

The team has worked on clear plans for the World Cup. Coaches focused on individual roles and better scoring targets. All of Pakistan’s matches will take place in Colombo under a neutral venue agreement. Muneeba believes the squad is now stronger and better prepared.

Muneeba Ali’s journey began with tape-ball cricket in Karachi streets. Inspired by the 2010 Asian Games, she chased her dream. With her family’s support, she became a national star. Now, Muneeba Ali eyes another breakthrough performance at the World Cup.
