Iran Air returns: Lahore-Mashhad flights from Oct 29

Published on: October 14, 2025 6:06 PM

Iran Air will resume direct flights between Lahore and Mashhad starting October 29, 2025. The airline will initially operate one weekly flight, restoring vital air connectivity after a period of limited service. This move marks Iran Air’s renewed presence in Pakistan’s aviation sector and aims to facilitate travel between the two countries.

The new route will connect Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport with Mashhad International Airport. It is expected to play an important role for Pakistani pilgrims traveling to Iran for religious visits. Besides pilgrims, general travelers will benefit from this convenient and direct flight option.

Officials say the flights will improve people-to-people ties and boost tourism between Pakistan and Iran. The direct service offers a more affordable and time-saving alternative compared to indirect routes currently used by passengers. Both governments see this as a positive step toward enhancing bilateral relations.

Iran Air’s weekly flights from Lahore to Mashhad will provide a reliable travel option, especially for those visiting religious sites in Iran. The airline hopes to expand its operations in Pakistan based on demand. Travelers can look forward to easier access to Iran starting late October.
