PM Shehbaz praises muslim World League’s global role

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the Muslim World League (MWL) for promoting the true image of Islam worldwide. He said the League plays a vital role in spreading peace and understanding among religions and cultures. The Prime Minister shared these views during a meeting with MWL Secretary General Dr. Mohammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed Dr. Al-Issa and appreciated his leadership. He said the MWL continues to strengthen unity among Muslim countries and highlight Islam’s message of peace. According to Pakistan Television’s post on X, the Prime Minister acknowledged the League’s consistent efforts to encourage mutual respect among different faiths.

Shehbaz Sharif noted that the MWL’s work helps counter misconceptions about Islam and supports global harmony. He highlighted that the League has taken several positive initiatives, including interfaith dialogues and humanitarian efforts. He also appreciated its strong advocacy for the rights and dignity of Muslims around the world.

The Prime Minister mentioned the recent international conference on women’s education held with the MWL’s support. He called it a major step toward empowering women and girls in Muslim societies. Moreover, he assured full support from Pakistan for future events that promote education and progress in the Muslim world.

Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s close and brotherly ties with Saudi Arabia. He extended good wishes to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their leadership. He also praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts in supporting the Gaza peace agreement and raising the voice for Palestinian rights. In return, Dr. Al-Issa thanked the Prime Minister for his warm hospitality. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki.
