Kidnapped child recovered in police operation against Ladi Gang

Published on: October 20, 2025 4:06 AM

In a dramatic rescue operation inspired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Safe Punjab Vision, Dera Ghazi Khan Police have successfully freed a 15-year-old boy who was kidnapped by the infamous Ladi Gang for a ransom of Rs 10 million.

According to District Police Officer Captain (R) Muhammad Tariq Walait, the victim, Muhammad Siddique, was abducted from Mouza Imrani several days ago. The kidnappers, seeking to evade law enforcement, had taken the boy deep into the rugged mountainous region controlled by the gang.

Acting swiftly, DPO Walait mobilized three specialized police teams, deploying advanced tracking technology, intelligence coordination, and a carefully planned tactical strategy to locate the abductors.

In a high-risk nighttime operation, the Kot Mubarak Police raided the gang’s hideout. Although the suspects managed to flee under the cover of darkness, the abducted child was recovered unharmed. Police also seized automatic weapons and other evidence abandoned by the gang during their escape.

Commending his team’s courage and professionalism, DPO Walait said the operation reflected the Punjab Police’s unwavering commitment to public safety. “Protecting the lives and property of citizens is our foremost duty,” he asserted, vowing that operations against criminal syndicates would continue with full force.

The successful rescue sparked emotional scenes as the boy was reunited with his parents and relatives. Locals hailed the police for their bravery, discipline, and dedication – praising the officers as heroes who brought a child safely home from the clutches of a ruthless gang.
