
KARACHI – Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves increased to $19,853.5 million as of 17 October 2025, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The central bank’s own foreign reserves rose by $14 million to $14,455.2 million during the week, while commercial banks’ net reserves grew by $28.6 million to $5,398.3 million.

In the previous week, ending 10 October 2025, the country’s total liquid reserves stood at $19,810.5 million, with the SBP holding $14,440.8 million and commercial banks $5,369.7 million. The weekly rise in reserves reflects steady inflows into the country’s foreign exchange position.
