SBBU organises awareness seminar on breast cancer

The Female Students Welfare Office Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad, organized an awareness seminar on breast cancer, on the special directives of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Madad Ali Shah. A large number of female students from various departments of the university attended the seminar.

Addressing the seminar, breast cancer specialist Dr. Sardar Khatoon Chandio said that breast cancer is one of the most common and dangerous diseases among women, but if diagnosed and treated in time, it can be completely cured. She emphasized that women should make it a habit to conduct regular self-examinations every month and immediately consult a doctor in case of any unusual changes. Dr Chandio said that awareness about breast cancer, regular medical checkups and adopting a healthy lifestyle can help save countless lives. During the seminar, a presentation and practical demonstrations were also given to educate participants about self-examination techniques.

Prominent members of women’s welfare organization Inner Wheel Club Shaheed Benazirabad, including Dr. Nosheen Noorani, Dr. Nazia Moin, Dr. Naseem Soomro, Dr. Ruqayya Wagan, Dr. Fariha, Dr. Shameem Brohi, Khair-un-Nisa Rahu, Naseem Chandio, Advocate Sanam, Kausar Memon, Wafa Jalbani and others also participated in the event. At the end of the seminar, Female Students Welfare Officer Rashida Pathan thanked all the participants and remarked that such activities play a vital role in promoting health awareness among female students studying at the university.
