Sadiq cited the 2025 floods that hit previously unaffected areas and called for global collective action on climate adaptation. He also noted that Pakistan hosts the region’s first “Green Parliament” as a symbol of environmental sustainability.

The Speaker reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace and stability in South Asia. He criticized India’s unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty as a violation of international law.
