
LAHORE: In a shocking revelation, a Crime Control Department (CCD) inspector has been identified as the mastermind behind the kidnapping of a businessman for ransom in Lahore, 24NewsHD reported on Thursday.
According to police, Inspector Javed Iqbal, along with Constable Tauseef, allegedly kidnapped businessman Waleed from the Kahna area and demanded a ransom of Rs50 million for his release. The suspects reportedly threatened to kill the victim if the ransom was not paid.

After negotiations, the kidnappers agreed to settle for Rs4 million, taking Waleed’s family to several locations before finally collecting the ransom near LOS. The businessman was released soon after, but Kahna police swiftly arrested the culprits as part of a planned operation.
During the investigation, it was discovered that both suspects belonged to the CCD and had used a rented vehicle to carry out the abduction. A case has since been registered against them, and they have been handed over to the Crime Control Department for further inquiry.
