Justin Bieber details injury that made it painful to ‘talk, laugh’

Published on: November 17, 2025 1:29 AM

Justin Bieber was a little too confident on wheels. While the “Sorry” singer proved he was a speed demon with his electric skateboard, it left him with some injuries after taking a “gnarly” fall.

“My rib hurts so f–king bad, bro,” Justin shared in his Nov. 13 Twitch livestream. “That s–t bro is hurting me bad, bro. I’m trying to play it cool, bro. This s–t is f–king with me.”

“Chat, I f–king fell on my side on that Onewheel and landed on my [hip],” he continued. “So, even singing, laughing, everything hurts.”

Despite struggling with the injury, the 31-year-old still powered through his nearly hour-long rehearsal ahead of the 2026 Coachella Music Festival. After performing with the live band during his four-hour live stream, he said on the couch, “Bro, that fall the other day?”

Justin-who shares son Jack Blues Bieber, 14 months, with wife Hailey Bieber-went on to hold his ribs, adding, “It hurts to laugh, talk.”

Nonetheless, he hit all the right notes during the performance. And he even treated fans to songs from his album Purpose, including “What Do You Mean” and “Love Yourself,” in honor of its 10th anniversary.

For the Grammy winner, taking the stage at Coachella in April marks his first major concert since he canceled his 2022 world tour to focus on his health after being diagnosed with a neurological condition.

“Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, where my face was partly paralysed,” he announced on Instagram that September. “As a result of this illness, I was not able to complete the North America leg of the Justice Tour.”

Although he initially tried to move forward with his European leg a few months prior, the back-to-back performances took a major toll on him.

“After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realised that I need to make my health the priority right now,” he added. “So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I’m going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better.”
