Trump greenlights secret Russia-Ukraine peace plan

Published on: November 20, 2025 5:12 PM

US President Donald Trump has quietly approved a new peace plan to end the Russia-Ukraine war. The plan, reportedly developed in consultation with Russia, was led by US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff. It aims to secure peace and stability in Ukraine while addressing broader European security concerns.

According to US media, the plan involves 28 points that cover Ukraine’s security guarantees, territorial arrangements, and future relations with both Russia and the United States. Discussions also included input from the Russian ambassador and Ukraine’s presidential security advisors.

The initiative seeks to balance peace in Ukraine with the strategic interests of Europe and the US. Officials stressed that negotiations remain sensitive and confidential due to the complex geopolitical stakes. The plan also aims to prevent further escalation in the region.

Reports indicate Ukraine may need to make concessions, including relinquishing certain territories and military equipment. These measures are intended to create a framework acceptable to both Russia and Ukraine while reducing conflict risk.
