Islamabad United secures PSL franchise for next decade

Islamabad United, one of the most successful teams in HBL PSL history with three championship titles, has renewed its franchise agreement for the next ten years, securing its future with existing owners.

The renewal comes at an updated market valuation assessed by Ernst & Young, reflecting the confidence stakeholders place in the commercial strength and long-term brand value of the HBL PSL.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised the partnership, stating that Islamabad United has consistently set high standards both on and off the field. He highlighted the trust placed in the league’s vision and growth.

Salman Naseer, HBL PSL CEO, added that Islamabad United has played a pivotal role in shaping the identity of the league since its inception. The extended agreement is expected to drive innovation and excellence in upcoming seasons.

The team’s owners, led by Ali Naqvi, have been credited for their professional management, strategic approach, and commitment to fostering a strong cricketing culture within the franchise.

With the PSL expanding to an eight-team format in its 11th edition next year, Islamabad United’s renewed partnership ensures continuity and strengthens the league’s competitive landscape while promising new milestones.
