Outgoing CJCSC stresses unity and readiness for future warfare

Gen Sahir stresses on coordinated, unified strategy amid evolving threats

RAWALPINDI – General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the outgoing Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), highlighted the critical importance of unity and joint strategy in a rapidly changing global landscape during his farewell address at the Joint Staff Headquarters.

General Mirza observed that the world is evolving at an unprecedented pace, presenting new challenges that significantly impact both domestic and external security. He noted that these challenges range from hybrid warfare to full-scale conflicts, requiring a coordinated and purpose-driven response from the armed forces.

“The need for a unified strategy is not optional; it is an organizational necessity to effectively address emerging security threats,” he said, stressing that preparation and integration are key to confronting the complexities of modern warfare.

During his farewell address on 26th November 2025 at Joint Staff Headquarters (JSHQ), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza NI, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) #Pakistan Army said,

The outgoing CJCSC also emphasized the importance of developing a fully empowered and capable military system. He underlined that the armed forces must anticipate future warfare scenarios and adopt integrated approaches to ensure readiness against evolving threats.

General Mirza extended his best wishes to all personnel at the Joint Staff Headquarters, urging them to continue performing their duties with integrity, professionalism, and dedication. He emphasized that the military’s resilience and unity will be crucial in meeting new responsibilities and safeguarding national security in the years ahead.
