A heated exchange took place between opposition MNA Iqbal Afridi and Speaker Ayaz Sadiq after the latter warned he would turn off Afridi’s microphone. Afridi responded sharply, escalating tensions briefly before proceedings resumed. Meanwhile, PTI MNA Noor Alam expressed concern over the worsening security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, stressing that daily attacks on security personnel demanded urgent government attention.
Noor Alam criticised Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi for not briefing the house, urging the government to convene a National Security Committee meeting to update lawmakers on the threat environment. PTI interim chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan questioned the transparency of recent by-elections, but the Speaker advised him to approach the election tribunal for redressal.
