Pakistan, Egypt set for major diplomatic push as FM arrives today

Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty arrives in Pakistan today for a two-day official visit. He is visiting on the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The trip aims to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

The Foreign Office says the visit reflects the deep and friendly ties between Pakistan and Egypt. These ties are rooted in shared faith, cultural connections, and similar views on many global issues. The visit also shows both countries’ commitment to building stronger political and economic relations.

During the visit, Dr Abdelatty will meet Ishaq Dar for a private discussion and delegation-level talks. Both sides will review the full range of bilateral cooperation. They will also discuss regional and international matters that affect both nations.

The talks will focus on key areas such as politics, trade, defence, culture, and people-to-people links. Moreover, both leaders will exchange views on the ongoing situation in Gaza. They will explore ways to work together for peace and stability in the region.

The visit is expected to boost Pakistan–Egypt relations and build a stronger partnership. It will also help shape future cooperation across several sectors. Ultimately, both countries aim to widen their strategic engagement and deepen mutual understanding.
