
Lahore hosted a four-day International Boxing Championship, where Pakistan’s Muhammad Waseem successfully defended his WBA Gold Bantamweight title. On the final day, Waseem faced Thai boxer Jakrawat in a 12-round battle, emerging victorious. After winning, Waseem thanked fans, the Punjab government, and the Pakistan Army for their support and security. The championship ensured top-level safety for all international participants.

The event began on November 20, with boxers arriving in Pakistan and receiving a warm welcome. Alongside matches, a boxing convention was held to promote the sport and provide international exposure. Previous days featured exciting bouts with competitors from Germany, Thailand, the Netherlands, Britain, Ghana, the Dominican Republic, the USA, South Korea, Argentina, Nigeria, the Philippines, and Bangladesh. Notable winners included Pakistan’s Asim Zaman, Germany’s Zina Nasr, Britain’s Tom Dearing, and Argentina’s Alberto Palmita.
