Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has said that banning meetings with PTI founder Imran Khan and arresting his sisters cannot be ruled out. He argued that individuals visiting the jailed leader promote an anti-state narrative following their meetings.
Speaking on a private TV program, Tarar stated that the original purpose of visits is to check on health and discuss legal matters. However, he claimed that those who meet Imran Khan often go outside these limits, and therefore legal action could be taken against gatherings outside Adiala Jail.

Furthermore, the minister warned that authorities will not tolerate any attempt to violate law and order near the prison. He added that even high-level officials, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister, would be turned back at the first checkpoint if necessary.
Tarar also backed recent statements made by the DG ISPR, saying the government fully supports those remarks. He emphasized that talks with PTI will not take place unless the party abandons what he called an anti-state agenda and changes its behaviour over time.

In addition, he said two PTI leaders whose names are on the no-fly list recently tried to leave the country. Tarar reiterated that meetings with Imran Khan may resume if PTI demonstrates cooperation and stops encouraging criticism against state institutions.
