Yumna faces backlash over bold outfit at Lux Style Awards

Published on: December 14, 2025 1:02 AM

Pakistani showbiz star Yumna Zaidi, widely admired for her powerful performances and versatility, recently found herself at the center of social media debate following her appearance at an award show.

Yumna is considered one of the most accomplished actresses of the Pakistani entertainment industry, having proved her talent across both television and film.

Her popular drama projects include Bakhtawar, Parizaad, Pyaar Ke Sadqay, Raaz-e-Ulfat, Tere Bin, Guzaarish, Thakan, Zara Yaad Kar, Ishq-e-Laa, Yeh Raha Dil, among many others.

She has also won a Lux Style Award for her film Nayaab.

At the 24th Lux Style Awards held in Karachi, Yumna Zaidi wore a three-piece ensemble designed by Shehla Chatoor.

The outfit featured a rose-gold long skirt, an antique gold crop top and a shimmering jacket adorned with embroidery and traditional tilla work.

However, her fashion choice sparked mixed reactions online. While some appreciated her experimental look, others criticized the outfit, calling it inappropriate and suggesting that the actress appeared uncomfortable.

A section of fans also expressed disappointment, referencing her past statements, while a few users went on to voice harsher criticism.
