Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani warned that repeated Israeli violations of the Gaza ceasefire are endangering the entire agreement and escalating humanitarian suffering in the region.
Speaking after talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, he urged immediate progress toward the next phase of the ceasefire to stabilize the enclave and ensure aid reaches those in need.
Since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, Israel has reportedly breached the agreement at least 738 times, resulting in 394 Palestinian deaths and over 1,075 injuries, highlighting the fragility of the truce.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that humanitarian aid must enter Gaza “unconditionally,” calling on the United States to pressure Israel to allow essential supplies, while noting that only 39 percent of allocated aid trucks have reached their destinations.
Winter storms have worsened the crisis, with hundreds of thousands of Palestinians sheltering in damaged buildings or tents. Recent deaths of newborns due to hypothermia underscore the urgent need for timely humanitarian assistance.
The US-Qatar Strategic Dialogue also discussed ceasefire enforcement, the deployment of an international stabilization force, and the urgent humanitarian situation. Meanwhile, Hamas and Israeli officials have blamed each other for violations, complicating peace efforts.
