On the second day, the train will depart from Pichi Ji Verry and return to Karachi. Sindh Tourism Minister Zulfiqar Ali Shah described the Thar Desert Train Safari as “a remarkable gift for the public” and emphasized that the initiative aims to boost tourism while highlighting the province’s heritage and attractions.

Tickets for the two-day adventure start at Rs30,000 per adult, according to the Sindh Tourism Development Corporation. Passengers will also enjoy camping, bonfires, and live local music performances during the trip, making it a memorable experience for all participants.

The train safari follows earlier plans announced by Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto in 2024, who revealed the government’s intention to launch dedicated train services connecting Tharparkar to Karachi. The initiative is expected to enhance regional connectivity and support local industries, including the transport of coal from Thar to Karachi.
