PTI Punjab chief organiser Aliya Hamza Malik said the party would implement directives issued by its founder, Imran Khan, to begin a “mass protest movement.” She described the Lahore gathering as the formal start of renewed street agitation in Punjab.
Ms Malik instructed all PTI ticket-holders, office-bearers, workers and lawyers from the Lahore division to ensure their presence at Liberty Roundabout. The event will include welcoming Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, who is expected to arrive in the provincial capital as part of the mobilisation effort.

According to party leaders, the rally will symbolically turn one of Lahore’s main arteries into a march demanding the release of Imran Khan. Ms Malik said the protest would highlight what the party views as threats to constitutional order, rule of law and democratic norms in the country.
Earlier, she announced that Chief Minister Afridi, along with his cabinet members and members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, would first stop in Bhera. PTI ticket-holders and office-bearers from the Sargodha and Mandi Bahauddin divisions have been directed to welcome the delegation there.
The party leadership believes the arrival of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister in Punjab will energise supporters and send a strong political message. PTI has repeatedly argued that public mobilisation is necessary to press for political reforms and the release of its jailed leadership.

The Lahore event is expected to be followed by similar activities in other cities as PTI seeks to revive its street presence. Party officials say the movement will continue until what they describe as constitutional and democratic demands are addressed.
