Senator Saifullah Abro accused PTI leaders of colluding with the government to strip him of a committee chairmanship. He said the Senate chairman, Sherry Rehman, and Azam Nazir Tarar were involved in removing him from the Interior Committee post. Abro claimed internal party conflicts and Ali Zafar and Aun Abbas’s actions led to this decision.
Abro criticized PTI leadership, saying Ali Zafar is not capable of leading, and Aun Abbas rarely attended parliamentary meetings. He added that the party founder had originally recommended him for the Interior Committee chairmanship. According to him, some party members were already unhappy with his work in the Power Committee, which contributed to his removal.
He further alleged that while the party instructed protests, some leaders stayed in their offices instead of acting. He also mentioned that Firdous Shamim Naqvi tried to influence his position despite Abro being an opponent of former President Zardari.
Abro emphasized that despite challenges, he never resigned from PTI, unlike other leaders such as Fawad Chaudhry and Imran Ismail who have not returned. He criticized the party’s reliance on social media announcements rather than official notices.

He concluded by stating that no official letter or show-cause notice was ever issued regarding his removal. Abro questioned Firdous Shamim Naqvi’s role and demanded clarity on how the decision was communicated.
