Mushtaq Ahmed daughter Nawal weds in star-studded ceremony

Published on: January 3, 2026 5:02 PM

Former Pakistan leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed celebrated the wedding of his daughter, Nawal, in a refined ceremony attended by prominent figures from the cricketing world. The elegant event in Lahore brought together former and current international cricketers, close friends, and family members.

Notable guests included former captains Misbah-ul-Haq and Inzamam-ul-Haq, as well as wicketkeeper Moin Khan. The gathering highlighted the close ties Mushtaq Ahmed maintains within Pakistan’s cricket fraternity. Guests extended warm congratulations to the couple and offered their best wishes to the family.

The bride, Nawal, wore an ice blue and silver lehenga, paired with a delicately styled dupatta, reflecting the understated elegance of the occasion. The groom complemented the formal tone with a classic two-piece suit, maintaining a traditional and sophisticated appearance.

This wedding follows another family celebration last year, when Mushtaq Ahmed’s elder daughter, Habeeba, got married. The events underscore the family’s strong connections within both cricketing and social circles in Pakistan.

Mushtaq Ahmed remains a respected figure in Pakistan cricket, celebrated for his achievements as a leading leg-spinner. After retiring from professional cricket, he has served in coaching roles for the Pakistan Cricket Board and continues to contribute to the sport as a television analyst.

The event was widely appreciated on social media, with many sharing images of the ceremony and praising the family’s elegance and hospitality. Fans and fellow cricketers alike joined in celebrating Nawal’s wedding, making it a memorable occasion for one of Pakistan’s most well-known cricketing families.
