Published on: January 7, 2026 2:17 PM

LOS ANGELES: Warner Bros. has released the red-band trailer for They Will Kill You, a horror-thriller starring Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2) as a housekeeper whose dream job at the exclusive Virgil Hotel turns into a bloody nightmare. The hotel is revealed to be run by a satanic cult, and Beetz’s character has been chosen as the next monthly sacrifice.

The trailer, rated red-band for extreme violence, shows wardrobe traps, hallways that resemble war zones, and each room hiding a new threat. The film mixes horror and dark comedy, featuring stylized gun-fu sequences and fluid long takes choreographed by Russ McCarroll, known for Mad Max: Fury Road and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.

The supporting cast is star-studded: Myha’la, from Bodies Bodies Bodies, is involved in darkly humorous peril, Tom Felton returns as a villain leading a disastrous search party, and Patricia Arquette (Severance) plays the hotel boss orchestrating the hunt.

Produced by Andy and Barbara Muschietti of IT fame, the film is the first release from Skydance’s Nocturna, a new horror label, with Kirill Sokolov (Why Don’t You Just Die?) directing. The trailer teases flaming axes, extreme violence, and high-energy action throughout the hotel’s lavish corridors.

The full red-band trailer is available on YouTube, but viewers must sign in to watch it due to its graphic content. The film is shaping up to be a highly stylized, adrenaline-fueled horror experience with dark comedy undertones, blending gore, action, and suspense.
