
Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik announced his retirement from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after a decade-long career. He expressed gratitude for every moment on and off the field. Malik said it is time to conclude this chapter of his cricketing journey.
In a social media statement, Malik reflected on his 10-year PSL career, saying he thoroughly enjoyed the highs and lows. He praised teammates, fans, and organizers for supporting him throughout the league. He added that his love for cricket will remain and he will continue contributing to the sport.

The 44-year-old all-rounder had previously retired from Test cricket in 2015 and One-Day Internationals in 2019. Although he never formally retired from T20 internationals, he had not represented the national team since 2021, focusing instead on PSL and other T20 leagues.
