Kushner details multi-year Gaza reconstruction blueprint

Published on: January 22, 2026 10:15 PM

Davos: US President Donald Trump and senior officials unveiled a major plan for Gaza, highlighting progress on the ceasefire and long-term reconstruction. The announcement was made at the Board of Peace ceremony, where world leaders pledged support for rebuilding the war-torn enclave.

Trump praised his team’s efforts and thanked all countries that signed the Board of Peace, saying international cooperation was key to moving Gaza toward stability. He called the progress “excellent” and emphasized the importance of global partnership in the reconstruction process.

Jared Kushner, Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law, detailed a comprehensive master plan to clear Gaza’s rubble within two to three years. He said reconstruction would follow the ceasefire and focus on long-term stability, infrastructure development, and restoring livelihoods.

US Special Representative Steve Witkoff credited regional partners, including Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, for helping achieve the ceasefire and facilitating the supply of food and essential aid to Gaza. Officials highlighted that the plan was the result of coordinated diplomatic efforts under the Board of Peace initiative.
