Punjab Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bokhari, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected office-bearers of the Lahore Press Club on their resounding success. She congratulated President Arshad Ansari, Secretary Afzal Talib, and the Journalists Panel on winning the elections. Congratulating Senior Vice President Salman Qureshi, Azma Bokhari said his success reflects the strong trust of the journalist community. She also offered special congratulations to Vice President Madiha Almas and Vice President Nasira Ateeq, stating that the decisive victory of two women journalists is not only a positive development but also a clear endorsement of women’s professional capabilities in journalism. The Punjab Minister said that the Lahore Press Club has consistently played a historic and influential role in Pakistan’s political and journalistic landscape. She noted that many prominent political leaders and renowned journalists began their professional journeys from this very platform. Expressing her confidence, Azma Bokhari said she hopes that President Arshad Ansari and his entire team will play a proactive and effective role in addressing journalists’ issues, promoting their welfare, and strengthening press freedom.
