Hezbollah vows full-force fight against Israel

Published on: February 4, 2026 10:30 PM

Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem said the group will confront Israel “with full force” and reject surrender. He described Hezbollah’s stance as defensive rather than aggressive. His remarks came amid rising tensions between Israel and armed groups in the region.

Speaking at an anniversary event in Beirut, Qassem said Hezbollah faces an “existential aggression.” He claimed the aim is to eliminate the movement and its armed wing. Qassem said resistance remains necessary to protect Lebanon’s sovereignty.

“The enemy occupies our land,” Qassem said, stressing Hezbollah would not give up any territory. He said Israel’s actions threaten the nation and its people. He added that continued resistance is the only acceptable response.

Qassem accused Western governments of supporting Israel’s expansion. He claimed references to Israel’s security mask ambitions for a “Greater Israel.” He also said Israeli forces target civilians when unable to hit fighters.

Addressing Lebanese officials, Qassem urged them not to pressure their people. He rejected calls for Hezbollah to disarm, saying such demands seek to erase the group. He reiterated that Hezbollah will continue resisting rather than surrendering.
