UAE pledges $1.2 billion humanitarian aid to Gaza crisis

The United Arab Emirates and the United States held a high-level diplomatic meeting in Washington under the ‘Board of Peace’ framework, focusing on Middle East stability, regional tensions, and humanitarian initiatives. The talks aimed to strengthen cooperation while advancing peace and supporting vulnerable populations affected by ongoing conflicts.

During the meeting, the UAE announced an additional $1.2 billion in aid for Gaza to provide immediate humanitarian relief and long-term recovery, addressing critical needs such as food, medical services, and infrastructure rehabilitation. Officials emphasized that this funding reinforces international support for affected communities.

Senior officials from both nations discussed coordinated strategies to reduce tensions and promote sustainable peace, highlighting the importance of ongoing diplomatic dialogue alongside practical humanitarian action. The aid package includes vital services, including healthcare, emergency food distribution, infrastructure repair, and other essential support for populations impacted by conflict, ensuring that immediate survival needs are met while planning for long-term recovery.
