PM Shehbaz begins two-day Qatar visit

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will depart for Qatar on Monday for a two-day official visit. The trip aims to strengthen economic cooperation and deepen bilateral relations. The visit is significant for trade, investment, and regional diplomacy involving both nations.

The prime minister is visiting at the invitation of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and a high-level delegation. The delegation will focus on trade, energy cooperation, and infrastructure development. Officials expect discussions on expanding investment opportunities.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit reflects strong fraternal ties between both countries. The ministry said both sides remain committed to strengthening multifaceted cooperation. Pakistan and Qatar share close coordination at regional and international forums.

During his stay in Doha, the prime minister will hold bilateral talks with the Qatari Amir. Discussions will cover political engagement, economic collaboration, and energy partnership. Both leaders will also review progress in people-to-people exchanges and manpower export. Additionally, they will explore new avenues for investment and infrastructure projects.

Furthermore, the leaders will exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest. Officials said both sides aim to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region. The visit comes as Pakistan seeks stronger economic partnerships with Gulf countries. Analysts view the trip as part of broader diplomatic outreach efforts.
