Published on: February 26, 2026 12:51 AM

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday ordered the authorities to immediately release the pending salaries of Phase 3 Grade 16 and above officers of National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).

The court said that Phase 3 officers to be allowed to join duty on their respective sanctioned posts without any hindrance.

The high court’s bench also summoned the complete service dossiers of Grade 16 and above officers and all records and office memorandums related to regularization of posts.

It also barred to recruit new people against the posts which were already occupied by the contract officers till the final judgment of the case. The court also restrained the authorities from taking any adverse action including dismissal of these Phase 3 officers.

The court ordered to take note of media reports based on statement made by DG, NCCIA regarding termination of petitioners’ jobs, and direct the opposing parties to place it before the court for its perusal.

It ordered that to release all arrears and salaries to Phase 3 officers who are still performing duties even after expiry of their last extension dated November 30, 2025.

Justice Muhammad Azam Khan issued the order in a case seeking regularization of the contractual employees of NCCIA.
