NAB holds session on accountability framework for STP probationers

Published on: February 28, 2026 2:25 AM

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore on Friday organised a special session on accountability framework for the 48th Specialised Training Programme (STP) probationers at its office, aimed at acquainting young civil servants with NAB’s legal mandate, operational procedures and institutional functioning.

The session was attended by 55 probationary officers, including 49 officers of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and six officers of the District Management Service (DMS) from the Civil Services Academy.

Director NAB Lahore Muhammad Wasif Bhatti delivered a comprehensive briefing on the bureau’s mandate, investigation mechanisms, accountability laws and the responsibilities of public office holders. The session also featured an interactive question and answer segment, in which the probationary officers actively participated.

Director General NAB Lahore Mirza Faran Baig later interacted with the officers and underscored the pivotal role of civil servants in ensuring transparency, accountability and good governance in public service.

Shields were exchanged at the conclusion of the session as a gesture of goodwill, while the visiting delegation appreciated NAB Lahore for arranging an informative and insightful session on the accountability framework.
