Khawaja Asif calls recent Iran attacks deeply regrettable

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif expressed deep regret over the recent attacks on Iran, stating that the incidents have left every Pakistani deeply saddened. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining regional peace and stability amid rising tensions.

In a message posted on X, Khawaja Asif highlighted that Pakistan has supported Iran through all possible diplomatic and moral channels. He also noted that Pakistan condemned the attacks against Iran at the United Nations, reinforcing its stance on international platforms.

The minister appealed to religious groups and the general public to exercise patience and maintain calm. He stressed that any violent reactions or attempts to take the law into one’s own hands would only serve the enemies of Pakistan.

Khawaja Asif underlined the importance of peaceful protests, warning that unrest or lawlessness could undermine national security and create chaos. Authorities were urged to monitor situations closely and ensure that demonstrations remain controlled and non-violent.

He further highlighted that Pakistan values strong bilateral relations with Iran and continues to coordinate through diplomatic channels. The Defense Minister called for restraint, reminding citizens that disciplined conduct supports regional stability and shared security objectives.

Finally, Khawaja Asif reaffirmed that the government is fully prepared to manage public order while ensuring that citizens’ rights to express concerns remain respected. He urged everyone to act responsibly during these sensitive times.
