Defence Minister Khawaja Asif warned that the war on Iran aims to extend Israeli influence to Pakistan’s borders. He alleged the conflict seeks to create a hostile regional environment against Pakistan. The escalating tensions, he said, directly threaten Pakistan’s sovereignty and national security.
In a statement on social media, Asif described Zionism as a threat to humanity. He claimed the ideology has influenced global economic systems and major powers for decades. Moreover, he argued that the war imposed on Iran serves a broader agenda. According to him, the objective includes destabilising Pakistan by surrounding it with hostile states.

Addressing the regional crisis, Asif said Tehran showed readiness for a diplomatic agreement. However, he claimed war was imposed despite those signals. He alleged a coordinated plan involving neighboring countries to create insecurity along Pakistan’s borders. Consequently, he warned that such efforts aim to reduce Pakistan to a “vassal state.”
The minister urged Pakistan’s 250 million citizens to rise above political and religious divisions. He called for national unity to counter what he termed external conspiracies. Additionally, he paid tribute to the country’s armed forces and nuclear capability. He credited former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for strengthening Pakistan’s strategic defense.

Asif reaffirmed that Pakistan seeks stability through balanced international relations. He stressed that Islamabad holds no hegemonic ambitions and values mutual respect. While expressing solidarity with Palestine, he emphasized Pakistan’s defensive strength. He concluded that the nation’s security remains protected by impregnable defenses and global recognition of its armed forces.
