Qatar, Saudi foil alleged Israeli bomb plot

Published on: March 3, 2026 11:45 PM

Qatar and Saudi Arabia reportedly arrested Israeli Mossad agents allegedly planning bombings, American journalist Tucker Carlson claimed Monday. The arrests highlight growing regional tensions as US and Israeli strikes continue targeting Iran, affecting Gulf states. Carlson warned Israel intentionally foments instability among US Arab allies, raising security concerns across the region.

Carlson questioned why Israel would strike Gulf nations already facing Iranian attacks, stating, “Aren’t they on the same side?” He added Israel’s operations aim to hurt Iran and Gulf allies including Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait. He suggested these actions could provoke wider unrest, worsening the volatile Middle East situation.

The claims come amid US and Israeli strikes on Iran following a joint operation that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other high-ranking officials. Iran reported attacks on schools and hospitals killed hundreds of civilians, including 163 girls in a southern school strike. Tehran retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and US military assets in the region.

On Monday, a drone strike caused a “limited fire” at Saudi Aramco’s Ras Tanura oil refinery. Iran denied responsibility, claiming Israel and US forces conducted the strikes from bases in Arab countries. Tehran accused these attacks of attempting to provoke Arab nations into wider conflict against Iran.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated it struck over 500 US and Israeli locations using 700 drones and hundreds of missiles. Global energy markets remain under pressure, and regional authorities continue to bolster security to prevent escalation.
