Pakistani ambassador visits injured nationals in Abu Dhabi hospital

Published on: March 12, 2026 4:05 PM

Pakistan’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Shafqat Ali Khan, visited injured Pakistani nationals receiving treatment in Abu Dhabi after missile debris from ongoing regional tensions caused casualties among expatriates in the Gulf state. The visit highlighted Pakistan’s concern for the safety and wellbeing of its citizens living abroad during the evolving security situation in the region.

During the visit, the ambassador met several injured Pakistanis at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City and inquired about their health and recovery progress. He expressed sympathy with the affected individuals and conveyed his best wishes for their speedy recovery while assuring them of the embassy’s continued support and assistance.

Ambassador Khan also appreciated the hospital administration for providing quality medical treatment to the injured patients. Furthermore, he acknowledged the efforts of the UAE government for ensuring that all residents affected by the incident receive proper healthcare services and professional medical attention.

The incident occurred after aerial interception activities in the region resulted in falling missile debris, which reportedly caused injuries among civilians, including members of the Pakistani community. As tensions continue across the Middle East, authorities remain alert to protect residents and minimize risks to civilian populations.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi also announced new facilitation measures aimed at strengthening communication with the Pakistani diaspora. Officials launched an online registration form that will help the embassy maintain contact with community members and respond quickly during emergencies or crisis situations.

Through this outreach initiative, the embassy aims to improve support services for Pakistanis residing across the UAE. The move will allow diplomatic officials to provide timely assistance, share important updates, and ensure the safety of community members during periods of regional uncertainty.
