PM Shehbaz arrives in Saudi Arabia for official visit

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Saudi Arabia on Thursday for an official visit, according to the Prime Minister’s Office. He is visiting at the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is accompanying him.

The prime minister will stay in Saudi Arabia for a few hours, during which he will hold discussions with the crown prince. Meetings will focus on ongoing regional tensions, security challenges, and strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The visit is considered highly significant, as it forms part of close bilateral consultations between the two countries. Officials said the discussions will cover regional peace, stability, and collaboration on security matters affecting the Gulf.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Pakistan continues to pursue diplomacy, negotiations, and dialogue to help de-escalate regional conflicts. Efforts are aimed at promoting a ceasefire and encouraging peaceful resolution of disputes.

The officials emphasized that Islamabad’s engagement underscores Pakistan’s commitment to regional stability. The visit also highlights Pakistan’s ongoing role in facilitating communication and cooperation between key Gulf states amid rising tensions.
