Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Sunday condemned Islamophobia, urging Muslim countries to stand united and serve as a symbol of solidarity in confronting discrimination against Muslims globally.
In her message on the International Day Against Islamophobia, she highlighted that Muslims in regions like Palestine and Kashmir continue to face oppression, persecution, and injustice, stressing that global awareness and support are crucial.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized that Islam is a religion of peace, advocating harmony and coexistence. She said fundamental human rights are guaranteed in Islam, and presenting these values positively can counter rising Islamophobic narratives.
The chief minister further stressed that Muslim nations must overcome internal differences and promote cohesion. She noted that adherence to Islamic principles and exemplary individual conduct can play a pivotal role in addressing Islamophobia.

She also called for patience, tolerance, and mutual respect, urging the international community to take concrete steps to eliminate Islamophobia, emphasizing that education and dialogue are key to fostering understanding across nations.
