Sharjeel Memon briefs Bilawal on Karachi transport system

The Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, met with Sindh’s Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon at Bilawal House.

On this occasion, the senior minister briefed the PPP chairman about the performance of the Transport Department. He informed him that for the convenience of the public in Karachi, a new route for electric buses is being launched from Gulshan e Maymar to Tower, Karachi.

He further stated that under the Peoples Bus Service, buses will also operate between Tando Allahyar and Hyderabad, Sindh, Shikarpur and Sukkur, and Khairpur and Rohri.

Bilawal held a separate meeting with Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, the Deputy General Secretary of PPP Sindh and the Provincial Minister for Local Government in the Sindh cabinet, at Bilawal House. During the meeting, they discussed the political situation in Sindh.

On this occasion, Nasir Hussain Shah sought guidance from the PPP Chairman regarding legislation aimed at granting more powers to local government representatives in municipal institutions. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also directed that a meeting of the Provincial Finance Commission (PFC) be convened soon.

Moreover, Bilawal met with the party’s Central Secretary Information and Member of the National Assembly Shazia Marri.

During the meeting, matters related to the proceedings of the National Assembly were discussed in detail, particularly the role of the PPP in legislative affairs and the party’s strategy regarding upcoming parliamentary initiatives, said a news release issued here by the party secretariat.

Shazia Marri briefed the PPP Chairman on the party’s parliamentary performance and ongoing efforts to advance legislation in line with the party’s policy priorities.

She also apprised him of the measures being taken to address public issues in the district of Sanghar, highlighting various initiatives aimed at improving local infrastructure and public services.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari appreciated the efforts of the party’s parliamentary leadership and emphasized the importance of proactive engagement in legislative processes to safeguard public interests and strengthen democratic institutions.

Bilawal met with the President of PPP District Malir District and Member of the Sindh Assembly, Raja Razzaq, at Bilawal House.

During the meeting, they discussed the organizational situation in the district, as well as public issues and the measures being taken to resolve them.
