Leaders celebrate eid nationwide amid festive spirit across Pakistan

LAHORE – Pakistan will celebrate Eid ul-Fitr with religious enthusiasm, as citizens and political leaders gather in their hometowns to offer prayers, marking the end of Ramazan with unity and traditional spirit. Across the country, preparations have reached their peak with vibrant public participation.

President Asif Ali Zardari will continue his long-standing tradition of offering Eid prayers in Nawabshah, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to pray in Lahore’s Model Town area alongside local residents and supporters.

Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif will celebrate Eid at Jati Umra, joined by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah will mark the occasion in Sehwan, continuing regional traditions.

In other provinces, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Suhail Afridi will offer prayers in Peshawar before visiting his native Khyber region, while Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti will lead Eid prayers in Quetta. These movements reflect strong local engagement.

Prominent leaders including Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Yousaf Raza Gillani, and Ayaz Sadiq will celebrate in their respective hometowns, while opposition figures like Fazlur Rehman and Mehmood Khan Achakzai will also mark the festival locally.

Additionally, Imran Khan will observe Eid from Adiala Jail, while other leaders engage with communities across the country. Authorities have ensured strict security measures nationwide as citizens prepare to celebrate the festival with joy and devotion.
