PM, president review Pakistan’s situation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad to discuss urgent national and regional issues. The talks focused on the Middle East situation, national security, and economic stability. The decisions could affect government policy, provincial coordination, and the wider public.

During the meeting at Aiwan-e-Sadr, the prime minister briefed the president on changing regional dynamics. He shared updates on mediation efforts and Pakistan’s diplomatic position. Senior cabinet members, including foreign and interior ministers, attended the session.

Moreover, both leaders reviewed the country’s security landscape and political conditions. They discussed economic pressures and the need for stronger fiscal discipline. The consultation aimed to align leadership on immediate and long-term national priorities.

Meanwhile, a high-level meeting of national leadership has been called at the President House. The president will chair the session, with participation from chief ministers and senior officials. The forum will evaluate national strategy and propose coordinated responses to current challenges.

Additionally, the meeting will consider austerity measures and fair resource distribution between the federation and provinces. Proposals for financial support to provinces are also expected. These discussions aim to strengthen governance and ensure economic stability across the country.
