KARACHI – Flight operations between Pakistan and the Middle East continue to face significant disruption as the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran impacts regional airspace, aviation sources said on Saturday.

A total of 52 flights have been cancelled while around 50 others have been delayed across major Pakistani cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar. The disruptions are primarily linked to the continued closure of airspace in several Middle Eastern countries due to security concerns.

In Karachi, 16 flights to Middle Eastern destinations were cancelled, while 15 experienced delays, causing inconvenience to passengers and airlines alike. Lahore also saw major disruptions, with eight flights cancelled and seven delayed on routes to cities such as Kuwait City, Doha and Dubai.
Islamabad reported the highest number of delays, with 15 cancellations and 20 delayed flights, while Peshawar saw 10 flights cancelled to destinations including Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Additionally, two flights from Multan were also cancelled.
Since the escalation of the conflict, more than 2,600 flights between Pakistan and the Middle East have reportedly been cancelled, reflecting the scale of disruption to regional travel and connectivity.
Airlines and aviation authorities are closely monitoring the evolving situation, with schedules subject to change depending on security developments and airspace availability. Passengers have been advised to check with airlines before travelling to avoid inconvenience.
