US President Donald Trump confirmed that Iran attacked the world’s largest aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford. He said the carrier was targeted from 17 different angles in a severe assault. Crew members were forced to take cover, and high-speed jets were launched from the ship every 32 seconds after midnight to protect personnel.
Trump described unusual pre-attack activity as a warning of the serious situation. He emphasized that the attack posed a significant threat to the crew and the vessel. The incident highlights rising tensions between the United States and Iran in the region.

In response, the US Navy has deployed the USS George H.W. Bush from Norfolk to the Middle East. The new fleet may join existing carrier groups, including the USS Gerald R. Ford and USS Abraham Lincoln, operating in the region.
This deployment will bring the total number of US aircraft carriers in the Middle East to three. The USS Ford is currently docked at Crete for repairs after being damaged, while the new fleet aims to strengthen US military operations against Iran.
