Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, made the remarks during a Security Council meeting. The session focused on cooperation between the United Nations and the Gulf Cooperation Council. He emphasized Pakistan’s constructive role in fostering understanding and supporting peace efforts.

Moreover, the ambassador strongly condemned attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure. He said targeting power plants, hospitals, and schools is unacceptable and must stop immediately. He stressed that de-escalation and a complete cessation of hostilities must remain the top priority.
