WAPDA dominates 61st National Table Tennis Championship

WAPDA once again proved its supremacy in national table tennis by delivering a remarkable performance at the 61st National Table Tennis Championship, held in Peshawar from 6th to 10th April 2026, emerging as overall champions in both Men’s and Women’s categories.

Competing across nine categories, WAPDA dominated the championship by securing a total of 4 Gold medals, 1 Silver medal, and 5 Bronze medals, reflecting its exceptional strength and consistency throughout the event. The Gold medals were won in Men’s Team Event, Women’s Team Event, Men’s Doubles, and Women’s Doubles.

In individual competitions, WAPDA players also excelled impressively. In Men’s Singles, WAPDA secured two Bronze medals, while in Women’s Singles, Bisma Faryal claimed Silver after an excellent performance in the final. In the remaining categories, WAPDA added three more Bronze medals, bringing its total Bronze tally to five.

This outstanding achievement reaffirms WAPDA’s leading position in Pakistan’s table tennis arena and highlights its continued commitment to sporting excellence. The championship concluded with WAPDA standing tall as the most successful team of the tournament, adding another glorious chapter to its sporting legacy.
