Admiral Ashraf noted that the PAF had significantly strengthened its operational capacity in recent years by adopting modern technologies and implementing a comprehensive organisational strategy. He added that such achievements place greater responsibility on newly commissioned officers.
Highlighting developments within the Pakistan Navy, he said the force is modernising its fleet and developing indigenous long-range weapon systems. He emphasised that naval capabilities have improved across surface, subsurface and aviation domains.
The naval chief also claimed that during the 2025 conflict, the navy effectively deterred the Indian Navy from engaging in hostilities at sea, maintaining control and readiness throughout the period.
