Gold prices surge by Rs 3,500 per tola

The prices of gold increased in the local market on Wednesday, with 24 karat gold per tola rising by Rs 3,500 to settle at Rs 503,462 compared to Rs 499,962 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold increased by Rs 3,001 to Rs 431,637 from Rs 428,636, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold went up by Rs 2,751 to Rs 395,681 against Rs 392,930. In the international market, the price of gold increased by $35 to $4,811 per ounce from $4,776. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs 144 to Rs 8,404 from Rs 8,260, while the price of 10 grams of silver also increased by Rs 124 to Rs 7,205 from Rs 7,081. The price of silver in the international market increased by $1.44 to $79.20 per ounce from $77.76.
