Dar, UK secretary review regional developments

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar met UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper in Turkiye on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The meeting focused on evolving regional developments and strengthening diplomatic cooperation between Pakistan and the United Kingdom. Both sides discussed ongoing geopolitical shifts affecting regional stability.

The two leaders exchanged views on recent developments across the region and their wider implications. They emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing emerging challenges. The discussion also highlighted shared concerns over peace and security in sensitive regions.

Dar appreciated the UK’s acknowledgment of Pakistan’s role in facilitating early US-Iran ceasefire efforts. He also highlighted Islamabad’s hosting of diplomatic talks aimed at reducing tensions. The UK side welcomed Pakistan’s continued efforts to promote dialogue and stability.

Both sides reviewed bilateral relations and expressed commitment to further strengthening cooperation. They agreed to maintain close engagement on regional and international issues of mutual interest. Officials noted that regular diplomatic communication would continue between the two countries.
