Published on: April 21, 2026 7:21 PM

Trump Sends Representatives to Islamabad for High-Stakes Iran Talks

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday warned Iran over a possible military strike if no agreement is reached. He said the current ceasefire will not be extended further. The statement raises concerns for regional stability and ongoing diplomatic efforts.

Trump said he expects bombing if negotiations fail, calling it a better strategy. He claimed Iran has repeatedly violated ceasefire arrangements. Moreover, he emphasized readiness for renewed military operations if needed.

The US president stated that Iran’s issue would eventually end through a larger deal. He also said recent developments amount to a form of political change in Iran. Additionally, he insisted that US forces maintain control over key maritime routes.

Trump highlighted the Strait of Hormuz, claiming it is under full control. He described its blockade as a major strategic success. However, he did not provide operational details or timelines.
